Dear all,

Are you bored during the summer holidays?  Come and have some fun in the sunshine* and do some good at the same time.

I'm organising a volunteering day in conjunction with Sheffield Council’s conservation volunteers group on Houndkirk Road, a byway running from Foxhouses near Hathersage to Ringinglow near Sheffield, next Friday: filling in puddles and clearing out drainage ditches.

If you'd like to attend, please could you email me on clare.griffin@cmft.nhs.uk so I can get a feel for numbers. At the moment I have only three volunteers due to holidays so I'm quite desperate!

We have to bring our own equipment: stout boots, waterproofs and work gloves but also tools - spades, rakes etc, as Sheffield Council don't have spare tools for volunteers.

The plan is to meet at the Ringinglow end of the route at 10am and work til about 4pm.  I can provide a small number of lifts for those without transport (although it’ll be in our Land Rover, which is not the most comfortable form of transport!)

Thanks,

Clare Griffin
