Folks,

This year's Countryside Score Series kicks off on Wed 12 June at a new venue being - Ye Olde Park Gate Inn, Over Peover, WA16 8TU

With 60 minute and 90 minute runs available and using enlarged OS maps to navigate on public rights of way, these events offer an alternative form of informal low-cost orienteering suitable for newcomers and experienced navigators alike.  Please bring your friends!

They also all start and finish at a pub, so there is opportunity for food, drink and post run analysis on your return!

This is the first in this year's series of 4 events:

Wed 12 June - Ye Olde Park Gate Inn, Over Peover, WA16 8TU
Wed 26 June - The Vale Inn, Adlington Rd, Bollington, SK10 5JT
Wed 10 July - Boddington Arms, Racecourse Road ,Wilmslow SK9 5LR.
Wed 24 July - Venue to be confirmed

Countryside Score Event 1

Ye Olde Park Gate Inn, Over Peover, WA16 8TU.

Directions:  From Knutsford, take the A50 southbound, and after 4km turn left/east at Stocks Lane, which is the turning for Radbroke Hall (Barclays) and Over Peover. The pub is found on the left (north) 2km from the A50 junction.  Alternatively, it is possible to reach the pub from Chelford on the A537 (Macclesfield-Knutsford Road) and/or from the A34 - but you will need a map or Satnav!  If you find yourself at The Dog Inn at Peover Heath, you need to be 1km further west

The Park Gate has its own car park:  Please park prettily. If there is insufficient space in the pub car park, please park on-street nearby, making sure that residents can access their drives unhindered.
If you’d like to eat at the pub, please order your food before your run, saying when you’d like it to be served. It’s a Samuel Smith’s pub, so both food and draught beers are good value
