Hi All

The MDOC entries are now all done....57 entries in total (4 up on last year!)....a higher number of you than we originally thought and  so that’s brilliant THANKS!...We’re definitely in with a chance of getting through.

TO VIEW ENTRIES VISIT:- http://www.fabian4.co.uk/start/list.aspx?EventID=790  Start times will be allocated soon....requests will be taken into consideration however please recognise that strong runners, to gain best advantage, will be allocated with the middle to late starts.

Please check that your correct SI number is recorded - in the 2nd column of the on-line entry start list....(especially if you notified me of a change as I may have made a type O!) – Send any necessary amendments to me please as I can easily do those.

COMPETITION RULES FYI:-

http://www.pgopage.co.uk/docs/CSCRules2013.pdf

The most relevant rules of interest are in Section 5 headed Competition Rules on Pages 5 and 6.

We are up against 4 other clubs LOC, WCOC, DEE and SROC....we have spend considerable time allocating you to courses where we believe the club stands the best chance to gaining most points (we’ve considered factors such as where and how the other clubs have distributed their team members; course sizes – that is, those on the CUP event (ie: not including the clubs in the CSC Trophy event) and therefore the number of points you could score according to your position in a ‘large’ or ‘small’ class/course; in certain cases where it’s been tricky to decide where to put individuals we have even needed to consider your strengths and ‘team tactics’ (due to the complicated rules – see above link) have also come into play for certain courses.

So we hope that you are happy with your allocated course....if, however you have any queries as to why you are on a particular course please just ask by dropping an email (otherwise we shall assume you are happy).  (egs. If you have been allocated to a longer course than you expected it may be due to smaller number of entrants on that course and completing the course with may well gain high points – with no mis-punch!....If you are on a shorter/technically easier course than you may have expected it may be due to the fact that we know you can run very fast and we need more MDOCers on that particular course).

Looking forward to it,

IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO CLAIFE BEFORE (OR EVEN IF YOU HAVEN’T) AND YOU HAVE ANY TOP TIPS TO SHARE WITH THE TEAM THEN PLEASE SHARE THEM AROUND!!!!!
