Hi all

The 6th event in the MDOC 2012-13 NSL Series will take place at

The The Royal Oak, Market Street, New Mills
(SK22 4AA , SJ9998550)
on Tuesday 22nd January 2013.

Organiser / Checker Julie Brook has sent the following information about car parking and food arrangements:

Parking is in the Torr Top car park, off Torr Top Street which runs behind the pub. If you are approaching from the mini-roundabout at the South end of Market Street (junction with the B6101), turn immediately right into Rock Street, then left into Torr Top Street and the car park is on the right. Please note that Torr Top Street is one-way (going from Market Street to Union Road) except for the short stretch between Rock Street and the entrance to the car park, which is two-way.

Parking is free after 6pm. Before 6pm, you can park free for up to 1 hour, but you need to obtain a ticket from the machine.

Alternative parking is available in the Market Street car park, opposite the junction of Market Street and Torr Top Street. Both car parks are approx. 100m walk from the pub. Please do not park in the small car park immediately behind the Royal Oak which is reserved for Sainsbury’s customers only.

The Royal Oak are offering the following menu:

Steak & Kidney Pie + chips - £6.50

Homemade Lasagne + chips - £5.25

Aubergine Bake + chips - £5.25

Pan-fried Garlic Mushrooms + crusty bread - £4.50

Soup & Chunky chips - £4.95

Apple & Blackberry Pie + custard - £3.25

Hot Chocolate Fudge Cake - £3.25

Finding a suitable venue in New Mills was not as straightforward as we hoped, but Julie has worked her magic on the landlord here (I don't think they normally do food in the evenings!)

He would like numbers for food by Friday morning as the cook is not in Saturday, Sunday or Monday (he said they would try to fulfil later orders but couldn’t guarantee it.)

Please indicate your choice from the menu when you email to order your map - by close of play on Thursday 17th January.

Looking forward to the usual deluge of replies!

Grahame

PS can someone in the know pass this email on to the Macc Harriers and Goyt Valley runners who swelled the numbers in Bollington ? Thanks again.
