A massive thanks to all the MDOC team who helped print maps, got/returned kit from/to stores, setup SI, put out controls, ran the Registration/Raffle/Results, and got the controls in afterwards; and also those of you who donated prizes for the raffle.

In particular I'd like to give a special thanks to Sue for the negotiations before the event with the National Trust, and to Tim who visited all bar one control on the day (either placing, controlling or collecting) as well as running the finish.

From a technical point of view I was happy with the courses and when I setup different options, someone somewhere seems to have taken each of the options I anticipated (and some I didn't!). This was achieved with 36 controls (30 of which were on Long) so only 6 extra ones for the Novice, Middle and Short. A lot of people told me they had to think hard about which control(s) to miss and which order to others (in fact one told me she was enjoying the course so much she decided to miss fewer than she was supposed to).

Of course it was typical that we ran out of maps on one of our few level Ds where we weren't printing maps on the day, and also where I couldn't print a few on normal paper at home "just in case" (as I can't print A3, but I now know of other possibilities).

Cheshire Search and Rescue are also very grateful for the amount raised for them:

donations £1170, raffle £320 = total £1490

BO levy to be deducted £198 giving amount to send to CSAR £1292.

Of the donations £759 was Gift aided which should raise another £190,

so CSAR will final  benefit by £1482.

Cheers, and thanks again to all.
