Dear MDOCers

Thanks to all for your offers of help and raffle prizes

I think I even have more offers of help than what is needed so sorry if your name isn’t included.

I’m proposing the following (but I’m not a Reg-tent expert so those involved can feel free to juggle things round).

JK, Tim, John B, Chris, John W, Jim: course setting – see separate emails for details

Julie: IT, Download and Results

Jan, Jen, Rae, Margaret [if there are enough chairs]: Registration and between them help Julie on Download and look after prizes while Alison and Sue run

Alison/Sue: collect and organise Course prizes and Raffle prizes, liaising with Julie for Results

JK+Tim: Start and Finish

Matthew, Tony W, Chris, John B, Tim, JK: control collection – meet after prize giving

Pete: overseeing the packing of all the kit for return to stores

JK,Pete [and Tim?] return stuff to stores after the event

Timescales:

08:00 Main gate opens

08:20-08:30 JK hands over posts, kites and boxes to control setters

09:15 Registration team arrive (gazebo should be up already)

09:30 JK returns from control setting and transfers stuff into Reg tent

10:00 Registration opens

10:10 Final control setting and finish gets set up

10:50 all gather to move SW over cattle grid towards the Start

11:00 first mass start

11:10 final mass starts (Note Novice course is also a mass start so we don’t need a start team)

13:00 prize giving and raffle

13:30 courses officially close, but control collecting can start as soon as prize giving is finished

PS I trust all the setters and collectors will be impressed with the new streamlined green stakes!

PPS how easy are these stakes to put into frozen ground?

Cheers – see you tomorrow

JK
