On Saturday 23rd September MDOC are holding a two part sprint event at Platt Fields, between 12:00 and 14:00 (Registration from 11:30).

We are hoping to attract a number of students from the Manchester Universities to this event, and hopefully give them an appetite to come and do some of our other events. The event also comes the weekend before the British Sprint Championships in Milton Keynes, so it should appeal to experienced orienteers in the region looking for some last minute practice.
Sam Drinkwater is the planner and has been promoting the event with the Universities and I am organising the event.
As organiser I am looking for volunteers who would be willing to help out on the day with the following jobs – Registration, Download, Start, Control Collection.
All help is welcome but it would be great if anyone with a close involvement with the Universities or is a student (past or present) could help on the day or help promote this event.
As the courses are short and we have a reasonably wide start window, there should be plenty of opportunity for helpers to have a run as well (helper discount 50%).
Please reply to me at david@wathey.net if you are able to help.

Best Regards
David Wathey
