Greetings all,

BOF has highlighted the need for all members to be aware of and follow its policies on the protection of young people and vulnerable adults (O-Safe). At their request we recently inserted a clause to this effect in our constitution (copy on our website under club info).

Just like the T&Cs of your phone contract, you have probably not read the latest version of O-Safe. The bad news is that it is about 30 pages long but the good news is that the print is larger than most T&Cs.

It can be found on the BOF website (about O > Helpful Info > Safeguarding and Safety > bottom of page O-Safe Policy, revised Oct 2015). There is also a direct link on the MDOC site but it may not be up to date. The key point is to be aware that it exists and to know where to find it if you need it. A quick skim though the contents list will tell you quickly whats on offer.

Our Club Welfare Officer is Heather Fellbaum and is the person to contact within the Club.

The BO Lead Safeguarding Officer is Mike Hamilton, who is also CEO.

With luck you won't need all this but nothing is certain except that I will not be the next M70 British Champion.

Happy Christmas
