All,

Yesterday, at 5 to 6pm, there were plenty of Parking spaces on Fieldbank Road (SK11 8PZ); parking is free (but restricted for 2 hours prior to 6pm); it’s not traditional ‘on-road’ parking, as being so near to the Hospital all the allowed areas for Parking are marked, and on West side of the road these are primarily in a lay-by.

Hi all

We have received an unprecedented number of pre-entries for this event (about 100), so it looks like its going to be a great evening - if a trifle busy!

In view of the large numbers, please take special note of the following:

1. The Cricket Club car park is likely to be full after 18:30 - so people arriving after that time should use one of the alternative parking locations.

Alternative parking is available both to the North and South of the Cricket Club. To the North on road parking is possible on sections of Victoria Road and on the residential roads to the north. Please take note of parking restrictions: yellow lines (you may park there after 6pm), and some double-yellow lines. Please take care not to block any entrances. To the South on road parking is available on Fieldbank Road, (known to the Wed run fraternity as the road leading to Jan Ellis's house).  Head N on Fieldbank Road, but where Fern Lea Drive bears left go Straight Ahead for 50m to Entrance to Orthopaedic Dept, turn left and continue through Hospital Car Park to Gate leading to Cricket Club Pavilion.

Note all the Hospital Car Parks are either 24Hour Pay and Display Car Parks (£2 required) or Staff Permit only.

2. We are planning to open the start from 6pm onwards - and I would like to encourage early arrivals to start asap after 6 to ease congestion later on.

3. If queues develop at the start, we will start people at 30 second intervals rather than the normal minute.

4. Can I also encourage those who are planning to run for 75 minutes to start as early as possible - and certainly by 7.15

This should ensure that everyone is back by 8.30pm at the latest.

5. Food will be served between 19:30 and 21:00. There may be a few extra meals available (in addition to those already ordered).

Thanks all

See you Thursday - let's hope its not as wet as Monday (good forecast I think!)

Grahame
