For those attending the Wednesday in High Lane a traffic warning.

There are a set of temporary traffic lights on the main road between Hazel Grove and High Lane at the junction with the Norbury Hollow road which is causing big queues during rush hour.

The back road from Poynton through Norbury Hollow is closed just before that road junction and access to the main road is not allowed.

An alternative route from Hazel Grove is up Torkington Road from the Bullock Smithy pub and it is now open and not affected by road works as it was last week.

The Marple, Hawk Green, High Lane road is open as normal.

People travelling from Macclesfield could come over the tops (snow permitting) through Disley.
