Hi all

The wait is nearly over!

The 2016-17 MDOC Night Street League Series kicks off with an event in The Heatons on Thursday 27th October based at The Griffin Hotel, 552 Didsbury Road, Stockport, SK4 3AJ, (GR SJ 861 905).

You may have seen some preliminary information in the Newsletter or on the website already. This will be our sixth series of events, and features 2 new areas as well as some that we have used before. Many of these have been extended and modified to ensure a new set of challenges awaits you.
The flyer for the series is attached to this email and gives details of the venues for the first 4 events.  It will be updated when specific venues are chosen for the later events in the series.

Most of you are already familiar with the format of the events, but a reminder of their main features is available in the "NSL Major features" attachment

Arrangements for The Heatons event on Thursday 27th October

Chris Rostron (Planner / Organiser) has provided the following information about The Griffin Inn:

There is a large car park to the Didsbury side of pub, and East Didsbury Metro station is only approximately 400m along Didsbury Road.

The pub do not serve food from their menu in the evenings. However, they will provide a Hotpot with accompaniments or Vegetarian Pasta dish for £5

The Weekly Pub Quiz starts at 9:30 so make an evening of it and form a team!

As usual, we are unsure of the numbers of runners who will come along, so if you are interested in attending this event :

  • please email me (grahamecrawshaw@gmail.com) by 13.00 on Friday 21st October

  • indicating the number of maps required and (if you’d like to eat) which of the TWO choices you’d like.

NB Chris has to provide the food order to the landlord on Friday 21st October – so no late food orders please.

Looking forward to the usual deluge of replies!

Grahame Crawshaw (Series Co-ordinator)

PS Please pass this message on to anyone who you think may be interested in coming along - and ask them to reserve a map by dropping me an email
