I wanted to drop you a line to say thank you on behalf of the Bowdon DofE group for the evening’s orienteering at Lyme Park on Thursday 3 May. It was really well organised, the courses were interesting and appropriately challenging and everyone from your club was really helpful and welcoming which we really appreciated.

We had some great feedback from young people and their parents and I think (with one or two exceptions!) it really helped build their confidence in navigating and working with a map.

We have 6 more people planning to come to the 19th May event also at Lyme. I won’t be there myself as I’m doing a long distance walk across Scotland but my colleague Phil Huggon will be doing the meeting, greeting and payment for our group of 6.

We’ll brief parents to arrive in good time and emphasise once again that the last start time is one hour before gates close at 20.00.

I really appreciated your help in rounding up our latecomers on the course last week and do hope we didn’t delay you unduly.
