The 7th event of MDOC's NSL season will take place on Tuesday February 2nd 2016.
Venue: Dog and Partridge, 88 Buxton Road, High Lane, Stockport, SK6 8HJ
Pub on right Hand Side going towards Lyme Park and Buxton. Large car park at the rear.
Crown Carvery pub. Food served until 9:30pm. Carvery from £4.39 and full pub classic menu.
Organiser Chris Rostron has sent the following IMPORTANT notes regarding the format of this event.There are two parts -
Part 1 has 40% of the controls (and value)
Part 2 has 60% of the controls (and value)
Distance to get all controls is roughly 40/60 split between Part1 and Part2
To get the Part 2 map and questions go to the Finish Symbol marked as MAP on the Part1 map where you will hand in your Part1 Map AND questions/answers and receive the Part2 map and questions.
Whilst you do not have to get a Part2 map and questions it is probably advisable that you do.
In either case the timing finishes when you return to the finish control back at the pub.
The scoring values are the same as previous events but check the map scale and penalty points before starting.
SAFETY information.
The map is bisected by the main A6 road from Stockport to Buxton which will be busy for most of the evening.
There are many crossing points marked on the map (Pedestrian lights or bollards). Please use them.
We shall be printing maps next weekend, so please let me know by midnight on Friday 29th January if you are planning to attend. Although food orders will be made over the bar, the pub landlord has asked us to give him a sensible estimate of numbers of people eating by Monday 1st February. So....... if you are planning to eat in the pub - let me know that as well!
