Dear All
The link that Paul provides below directs you to a Webpage describing a 'Selfie Run' organised for students of Manchester University and Manchester Metropolitan University and this was supported by BOF. Paul raises some important questions about this event and whether we had any involvement.

In addition, at the end of the page describing the 'selfie run' there is a further link to 'Greater Sport' (Greater Manchester Sports Partnership) who have the strap-line 'Inspiring a healthy future in Greater Manchester through Sport and Physical Activity' - I million people doing regular activity by 2017'. This page has a 'Activity Search' facility with a drop down menu for 'Select a Sport'. Orienteering is an option on the list, but on selecting this and entering a Manchester area postcode no details come up about MDOC or MDOC activities. I wonder whether we can tap into this organisation to publicise MDOC activities? There also appears to be some funding opportunities and grants available through this partnership.

Subject: [MDOC] Greater Manchester Selfie Run

Hi All

Saw this link on the British Orienteering section of the MDOC website . I see it was supported by British Orienteering- did the club have any involvement? If it did not, how did British Orienteering support it? Have we missed an opportunity for new members?

Thanks
