The Leicester HPB Unit is an amazing collection of dedicated people working tirelessly to research and treat cancer of the liver and pancreas - I know firsthand just how amazing they are because I work there! These cancers affect a large number of people and are often associated with a poor prognosis but unfortunately funding for research into their treatment has lagged behind other more well known cancers. 

Sponsorship and raising awareness is therefore vital for the unit.The 90 mile ride was originally undertaken by a patient successfully treated at the unit who wanted to give something back- his bravery and determination inspired the doctors, nurses, friends and family of the unit to ride as well.  This is now the third annual bike ride and we are hoping it will be the best yet! 

 Dad & I (especially I!) will be digging deep on June 20th and we won't be the only ones grateful to you for doing likewise....
