[in response to Tony's email]
One of those going to WTOC forwarded this to the team recently:
I haven't tried it, but it sounds worth a shot. I remember having to pay a fair sized fee for Swiss 6 Days in the past.
Best though is to do what Tony suggested and arrange to pay at registration instead, that works for many SWE events for instance
(except probably O-Ringen)
cheers

For virtually all O events in Europe, payment and entry are different processes, which needn't be done at the same time. However if you don't pay by the closing date, they remove you from the entries.
Until recently, the only option was an expensive bank transfer - Lloyds and Santander (my two) were both £15 - £20. Not so bad if you are a large O-Club entering 30-odd people, but costly if you are the only entrant - like me.
There is now a low cost (less than £1) solution called transferwise.com. I have used it 4 times without any hassle at all and thoroughly recommend it.
As with all international payments you need to know the bank details of the O-club (IBAN and SWIFT), For the wtoc this info is given at the very bottom of every page. (seems to be Raiffeisenbank Austria d.d. IBAN
HR5224840081500190937 SWIFT RZBHHR2X - but check it yourself!!!)
Then go to the Transferwise website, create an account and key in the bank details and then make your payment. I have paid with a card no problem.
