Some weeks ago, someone suggested that it
would be really good if Thierry Gueorgiou could be persuaded
to give a talk one evening at JK2015. I thought arrangements
had been made to ask him at the Portugal O Meeting, but that
never happened.
Richard Tiley has enquired whether the
Coronation Hall in Ulverston is available and currently it is,
on both the Saturday and probably the Sunday. The cost for the
Saturday is £150, perhaps a bit more for the Sunday, as the
Hall is normally closed on that day. Thierry might want to
charge a fee; we could sell tickets.
Carol McNeill is organising the showing of
a film on the Saturday night. It would be unreasonable to
clash with that enterprising arrangement, so I suggest we go
for the Sunday evening.
Apparently, Thierry went to Sweden to train
after he was in Portugal. I imagine we can get his email
address from Sue Birkinshaw, but otherwise he may be
contactable in Sweden via Cat Taylor via her dad, Paul, whose
email address I have.
I do not have time to take this social
activity on. I need someone to offer to contact Thierry and
then to make the arrangements, sort out publicity, sell
tickets, etc. If you would be prepared to offer, or know
someone else who you think would be prepared to offer, please
come back to me quickly.
Many thanks
Dick
