Sigh. After forgetting it was NEOA’s turn for the N.
Night Champs in this year, and then having a firm offer from NATO at Broomley
Fell for this coming weekend, they have now had some last minute access issues
and are unfortunately having to cancel the event (and their day event the next
day). Shame because it was fitting quite well in the calendar, after
regional night leagues had finished, and just before BNC. Anyway, for 2015
I think we have the following options for the Northern Night
Champs:

Determine the winners based on BNC.
·
See if there is another night event in YHOA or NWOA this
winter already going ahead we could base it on (but I don’t think there
is).
·
Do not hold this year.
·
Hold it in the autumn (e.g. 24th October,
Northern Navigators are due to hold the North East Night Champs in Hamsterley,
which could become the Northern Night Champs – I’ve not asked them, but I don’t
think it would affect their organisation it would just attract a few more
people, I think they’ll be fine with it).
Can you let me know what you think is best?
In the mean time can you spread the word that NATO’s hosting
of the Northern Night Champs this Saturday is cancelled.
