Thanks to Tony for organising – quite a logistical challenge.

I can confirm that Matthew was finally reunited with his dad at Carsington.

Steve..

I would like to thank Tony for all his planning, before and during the event. Getting this number of people in the right place at the right time, and then reunited with their cars, for each team finishing legs at different times was a logistical nightmare. I'm not aware of any mishaps.

Personally I prefer the format of 2 loops running at the same time and as organisers next year we can design it this way.

I last saw Matthew at Carsington, reunited with Steve who I think has gone to a cafe for some reason ;)

Hi all

Congrats to all runners and helpers. All seemed to enjoy it most of the time. T1 was 2nd on handicap and 3/8 overall (see DVO website). I led T2 home to a reverse victory.
Special thanks to our U16 juniors, Carolyn, Luara (Hindle), Matthew F , Ally T and an M65 who ran 2 x 7miles (Chris R- well he's younger than me).
Weather was grim. DVO organiser said event  provided opportunity to keep open some of derbyshire's less used f/paths open. This explains much!
Bemused comment from fit M50 Ashbourne leg one runner. I was 2nd with this wee lad glued to my shoulder. Thought ' he's only young - he'll fade after 5 miles'. Snag was , this was Alistair T, who seems to have family tactical skills as well as speed. Guess who got dropped at the end?

Tony Wagg (MDOC organiser)

PS Any one seen Matthew, last reported at Carsington... or was it Winster?? Suspect may have stowed away with lady with 2 nice daughters...
