Dear MDOCers
I'm the Planner for the TempO at JK 2015 [and it looks like I'll be Controller for the PreO on Day 2] and we are in need of some helpers.
TempO needs a number of helpers (at least 2 really) per station and we need to have 5 or 6 stations to make it a decent competition.
We'll likely need another couple for the PreO (classic TrailO) at Haverigg on Day 2, but will try and use people from the TrailO community as much as we can since it is a bit of a drive from the Day 2 Assembly.
A few details of the TrailO at the JK are appended below
Do we have any volunteers? We'd sort it out in a way so that you could do the Sprint as well as the TempO itself as
well as officiate at the stations. Alternatively, if you don't like Sprint but will be there anyway, having some continuity
at the stations would be excellent.
Cheers
JK
=============================
There will be TrailO on 2 of the 4 days at the JK this year.
Sprint day (Day 1) will have a TempO in the grounds of Lancaster University. Since we are unlikely to have an excess of helpers and terrain is limited there will likely only be 5 or 6 stations (provisionally each with 4 problems, 6 kites)
Day 2 will be TempO in sand dune terrain about 1/2 an hour's drive from the FootO, by the beach. As I recall the terrain is not as good as at Newborough, but there should be scope for a full length course (likely aiming for 20 controls
+ TCs), there will be both Elite and Standard courses.
I'm Planner for the TempO, Pete Owens is Controller. Positions will likely be reversed for the PreO (unless we can find an alternative Controller then I can compete and go for three wins in a row - hence I have been vague in my description
above as I haven't yet been to the terrain).
