TWIN PEAK 2012 - PROUD TO BE AN MDOCer!
It was such a well organised and planned event on a superb area
(amongst the best in the country...used at the best time of year) that there
were more than a few comments from competitors that it should have been used
for the BOC individual this year. (I’m not sure why Trevor is
thanking us with the amount of work he has done along with the planners and
other key MDOC workers...we know who you are) I was just happy to be part of one
of the small teams.
The fact that the hardcore MDOC workers were still working quietly,
unselfishly and tirelessly away both in the marquee, around the back of the hired
equipment van, and in the car parks allowing other MDOC helpers and competitors
to enjoy the event to its conclusion was so much appreciated by all concerned....there
is always so much work to do right up until the very end (and it will still be
going on now and for the next few days!)
Prize
Giving TP2012
I am not sure I have heard quite so many words of praise from competitors
at a event before in long while. I did not hear
a single complaint and there are usually some. (Mind you have not been on Nopesport
yet and if anyone is going to find something to whinge about it’s often
on there!)
Those tables with the spotless blue and white checked cloths with
competitors with happy faces having pots of tea in the sun shine in a farmyard
did it for me...I just had to sit at one with a cup of tea in a white china
cup!....And that chap at the prize giving who did his very best to make us all,
whatever age, feel so young and healthy again! J

Subject: [MDOC] Twin peak weekend - An outstanding success
Those
of you who were at the Twin Peak event this weekend will probably be aware of
the favourable comments from competitors. Once again we managed to put on a
very high quality event which was much appreciated by our customers – the
orienteering competitors.
None
of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of those who
worked tirelessly to ensure that everything went well. An event of this size is
dependent on many people working together as one team. This weekend you –
the team - demonstrated how well this teamwork can take place and I would like
to thank you all for the expertise and dedication that you showed.
Keep
up the good work. We have another event at Lyme Park next Thursday.
Regards
Trevor
