Thanks to all who have been in touch re the next event  at The Royal Scot, Town Street, Marple Bridge, SK6 5AA on Tuesday 25th November - and a final reminder to all those who haven't, that entries close at 10pm tomorrow - Saturday 22nd November.

If you are thinking of coming along, please get in touch NOW to reserve your map and food.

Remember -

Parking
There's limited parking along Town Street, and a 10-car car park directly opposite the pub, all free after 6pm. Easy option is a much bigger free-all-day car park 250m away on Brabyns Brow - SK6 7DA

Food/drink
Since we booked the venue, they've stopped doing food ! However, they have kindly arranged for an intriguing outdoor barbecue solution offering 4 choices at £5:
Steak (and onions) bun plus chips and veg and sauce/gravy
Sausage (and onions) bun plus chips etc
Chicken breast bun plus chips etc
Veggie sausage plus chips etc
There are currently 4 real ales on offer.

The map
There are no contours on the map, but there's plenty in the area ! I've drawn a map which will be on display at registration which highlights the major shapes. Essentially, slopes up from river level are initially pretty steep, but become more gentle higher up.
There are two significant areas of off-tarmac which are unlit - Brabyns Park and the unmade roads towards the Roman Lakes. Brabyns Park may have some muddy paths; the unmade roads can be potholed and rocky. Trainers with a bit of grip may be more successful than road-racing slicks.

The scoring system will also be slightly different from the usual - please check out the details on the night.

Looking forward to the last-minute deluge of entries!!

Cheers

Grahame
