Hi all

Hard on the heels of our opening event in Didsbury last week, the second event in the series will take place on Thursday 13th November, based at The Park Tavern, 158 Park Lane, Macclesfield, SK11 6UB.

Clare and Mike have sent the following information about car parking and food arrangements.

Parking
Park Tavern is situated on a busy Main Road with no dedicated Car Park. On street parking is limited as the surrounding roads are all residential. There are two suggested Parking locations.
South Park Car Park
South Park car park at the end of Park Grove Road (postcode for satnav is SK11 8AS), which can house about 35 cars, is about 2 to 3mins walk from the Park Tavern. We're hoping to have a marshal on hand to cram as many people in as possible.
B & Q Car Park
B & Q Car Park is accessed from Statham Street (postcode for satnav is SK11 6XN), is about 3 to 4mins walk from the Park Tavern. We haven't asked permission but they don't have barriers on the gate and it's large and fairly well lit. B&Q's postcode is SK11 6XF.

The advantage to parking here are that it is well lit and if nervous about parking in the B & Q Car Park, there is plenty of street parking on Union Street and Crossall Street, also if travelling from North of Macclesfield, you would have walked to the pub in less time than the drive to the South Park Car Park.

Food

Thursday night is burger night at The Park Tavern! They have asked us to give them a rough idea of how many food orders to expect before the night. When you order your map, please mention that you’d like to eat (and preferably what you’d like, if you can think that far ahead). Options are:

Classic steak burger or the classic with bacon and cheese plus a side of either macaroni and cheese or corn on the cob for £5 per person.

Or you can just order from the bar as normal (but pre-orders would be very much appreciated).

Falafel burger topped with halloumi and served in a salad bun with a tahini yogurt dressing 6.95

Chicken burger with homemade pesto, sundried tomatoes and stuffed with mozzarella in a salad bun 7.25

Steak burger topped with jalapenos and cream cheese 6.95

BBQ chicken burger wrapped in streaky bacon and topped with maple syrup and melted cheddar 7.25

Steak burger topped with crumbly stilton, mushrooms and cracked black pepper in a salad bun 7.50

Chicken burger with cranberries, wrapped in bacon and topped with brie served in a salad bun 7.25

Bean burger topped with tortilla chips, spicy salsa, jalepenos and melted cheddar 7.25

Steak burger topped with sweet pulled pork and melted cheddar 7.75

We had an excellent turn out in Didsbury, and our Macclesfield events are always popular with the local running groups, so .........
