Many of you will know that Shap is our second home and we therefore consider Swindale to be our back garden.  And as usual, the summer multiday event coincides with my birthday!  We would therefore like to invite you to join us for afternoon tea after the first event of the Lakes 5 Days on Sunday.

The address is 12 Church Street, located just off the A6 in the centre of Shap (between N Bellas Butchers and the Abbey cafe).  On street parking on Church Street itself is quite limited, but we are only a couple of minutes walk from the main village car park by the bowling green (opposite New Balance) and there is parking on other streets in the vicinity. 

Doors will open once we have returned from our run - about 3pm?  I'll be baking lots of cake and trying to use up some of the abundant fruit that our allotment is currently producing.

All are welcome.  Please note the other local attractions, particularly if you have children - heated outdoor swimming pool, large playground and New Balance factory shop.
