Hi all

If you're coming to the event at Riverside Park tomorrow, depending on what time you arrive, you will probably need to park in the Tytherington School car park as there will be a football match on the pitch beside the park and the teams will be arriving early-ish for that.  (Tytherington School have agreed that we can park on their grounds, of course).

Other details about the event are in the email below.  See you tomorrow!

Subject: [MDOC] Riverside Park event, Saturday 17 March

Hi all

Riverside Park in Macclesfield is the venue for an event on the morning of Saturday, 17 March.  There will be White, Yellow and Orange courses and Chasing Sprints.  The colour-coded courses will all be within the park, as will Part 1 of the Chasing Sprint.  Part 2 of the Sprint - for which there will be both Long and Short courses - will visit controls in the park and outside, using the map of Tytherington, thus providing a mix of parkland and urban orienteering.
As a consequence of this urban element, additional rules apply to the Chasing Sprint courses - i.e.  Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult; 16 and 17 year olds can compete without an adult but only if written consent has been obtained from their parent or guardian.  These are BOF rules - and failure to comply will invalidate our insurance for the event.

The second important point in this email is that I'm looking for volunteers to help at the event.  Please let me know if you are willing to help and if you have any preference for job.  I will need quite a few people as there are two Starts as well as the Chasing Sprint to manage.  Times are as follows:
Registration:  10.00-11.00.   W/Y/O starts 10.30-11.30.  Sprint Part 1 starts 10.30-11.00.  Sprint Part 2 starts 11.20-12.00.

I look forward to hearing from volunteers and to seeing you at the event.

Jan
