We were trying to encourage competitors to travel on Metrolink to the event, and were going to sign it from Deansgate-Castlefield station.

However due to improvement works all the western half of the network will be closed on Sunday, including Densgate-Castlefield station.

If you are driving there are two cheap (£3-4) car parks near the event, off the SW section of Water Street (not accessible from the NE section).

Go west on the Mancunian Way (A57), which goes under the Chester Road roundabout and becomes Dawson Street.

Turn right on the A6042 and first right onto Water Street. Then either first right or straight on to the car parks.
