Hi all,

A reminder.......If you have not already done so, please let me know if you would like to reserve a map for next Wednesday's event at the Grouse.

An additional note from Jim Trueman who has set the course and organised the venue......

There is a generous car park behind the pub.  Please park there rather than on the road as long as there are spaces.

The food on offer is Chinese: there will be a selection of three mains on a buffet principle for £8 a head.  It would be appreciated if runners could pay before their run for food so that the chef knows how much to prepare.

If any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,

Andy

Folks,

Yes it is that time of year again! :-)

This year's Countryside Score Series kicks off on Wed 11 June at a new venue being - The Grouse, 57 New Mills Rd, Birch Vale SK22 1BX
Expertly planned by Jim Trueman, the area has a rich network of paths, bridleways and minor lanes and one or two hills too!  Something for everybody!

With 60 minute and 90 minute runs available and using enlarged OS maps to navigate on public rights of way, these events offer an alternative form of informal low-cost orienteering suitable for newcomers and experienced navigators alike.  Please bring your friends!

They also all start and finish at a pub, so there is opportunity for food, drink and post run analysis on your return!

This is the first in this year's series of 4 events:

Wed 11 June - The Grouse, Birch Vale, SK22 1BX
Wed 25 June - Church House, Sutton, SK11 0DS
Wed 9 July - Mobberley Area
Wed 23 July - The Romper, Ridge End, Marple, SK6 7ET

Registration from 6:30pm.  Pre race briefing 7:10pm. Mass start 7:15pm
Bring a pen/pencil and your watch.
Entry is on the night only £3 per map adult, £1.50 per map junior.
