Marie,
I am willing and able to help; putting controls out would be no problem, and probably preferred, as one of tge reasons for late reply is a clash with another (pennine fell runners) club event, and trying to work out which to do. Putting out controls, running (hopefully, M65), and maybe getting back to Hayfield after might work.
Sorry for late reply,
John Williams

Subject: [MDOC] Call for helpers - Birchwood Urban event 28 April 2019

Dear all,

MDOC is putting on the first of this year's UK Urban League events at Birchwood near Warrington on Sunday 28th April.
Please could we have volunteers to help. Jobs include start teams, finish marshals, first aiders, entry on the day, SI card hire and download as well as road marshals and control collectors.

The planner in particular is looking for early-bird volunteers (meet at 7.30 a.m.) to help set out some of the 83 controls. Runners are welcome to volunteer for this role as Jillyan can give them a set of controls apart from those on their course.

Discounted entry fees are available for helpers wishing to have a run. Please ask for the Fabian discount code in your reply.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon - the event is on the weekend after the JK/Easter so it would be preferable to have most jobs in place by then.

Thanks.

Marie
