	Orienteering at Bathpool Saturday 9th March 2019

		Come and Explore the Outdoors at Bathpool Our orienteering local event at Bathpool Country Park is fast approaching. These events have a range of courses to suit all different abilities, as well having volunteers on hand to assist should it be required. Orienteering is a great sport for all the family and one that you can complete at your own pace. Don't worry if you have never tried the sport before, as everyone was a beginner once. Also the map reading part is actually much easier than you would expect - once explained by one of our volunteers you will be off and away on your orienteering adventure. Details of the event are shown below: Date : Saturday 9th March 2019 Time : 10am - 12pm Post Code : ST7 1AN Typical Courses Available: Easy, Moderate, Short Hard, Long Hard Cost : £5 adults, £2.50 concessions (£1 discount for POTOC members) Event Information : Registration and start is at Kidsgrove Cricket CLUB. Clough Hall Road. Postcode ST7 1AN . Access to the car park is a LH turn after 0.3 mile from start of Clough Hall Rd. You can walk to the cricket club though Bathpool Park should you wish. Training Event (for POTOC members) There is a West Midlands coaching session on Sunday 10th March at Lizard Hill, which ALL POTOC members are invited to. This is the perfect way to learn new techniques and develop new skills. There will be a range of exercises available to help you improve your orienteering skills. Coaches on hand to help and advise. The event will take place between the hours of 10am and 2pm. Please let Andy Clough (WRE) know if you intend to come by Thursday 28th February 2019, so that enough maps can be prepared.
