MDOC Annual Social Evening 2019
New
Date: 12th
January 2019
New
Venue: Offerton
Community Centre, Mallowdale Road, Offerton, Stockport, SK2 5NX.
Just when,
for most people, the party season is drawing to a close, MDOC members are
invited to the Annual Social Evening on the 12th January 2019. The
new date has been arranged so as not to clash with other major orienteering
events and club members will need to go a long way to find another orienteering
event to challenge it that weekend.
Enjoy good food,
good company and a range of orienteering challenges in which novices, seniors
and elites compete on even terrain.
‘Team
Timperley’ will be staging a ‘Multi-day
O Event’ for you to enjoy from the comfort of your dining table – no
pre-event training or warm-up needed. Injuries, inexperience or inconsistent
performance during the last twelve months will be no impediment to success. This
is your chance to gain a podium place regardless of your orienteering ability.
Back
by popular demand, the ‘Bring a Bake’
competition. This year you are invited to bring any bake of your choice and
give it any orienteering-related title: perhaps some individual rock cakes – ‘A
Boulder Field’; your best recipe for cheese straws – ‘The Famous MDOC Yellow Control
Stakes’…show off your baking skills and get inventive with your naming;
Hear
the wisdom of two top overseas
orienteers.
Awards for orienteering achievement over the
last year and prizes for many more competitions
held on the evening;
Offerton
Community Centre is located in a residential area North of the A6. Free parking
at venue adjacent to assembly.
