I took the notes below as I watched the administrator of Life Care Center give a press briefing a few days ago about their situation.  I did not intend to share these and I'm doing so now not in an attempt to scare on sensationalize but just to show what is happening now in a facility in Washington.  I haven't seen reporting on this outside of their media market and knowledge is power.  

Our State Department of Health Services is working day and night right to try and prevent repeats of this here in Wisconsin and it's important that we all do whatever we can to help individually and as organizations.  That starts with not getting sick ourselves.  Please try to get enough sleep, proper nutrition, and generally try to keep your immune system at the highest level possible so if you do get COVID-19 you have the best chance of fighting it off.  We're all people who help others, please don't forget about yourself.

Life Care Center, Kirkland, Washington—120 Bed Nursing Home

Situation as of February 19th

·       Facility houses 120 residents

·       Facility has 180 staff to care for residents

·       First resident shows symptoms of COVID-19

Situation as of March 10th

·       26 residents have died from COVID-19

·       Many residents are hospitalized

·       46 residents remain in facility

·       26 of the 46 have tested positive for COVID-19 but are still able to be treated onsite

·       66 staff showing symptoms of COVID-19

·       Some of the remaining staff have stopped coming to work

·       Some of the remining staff have quit and taken other jobs
