As we approach the end of this summer in the northern hemisphere I'm
thinking of holding a Comet Section meeting next summer. Our last
meeting was the highly succesful event held at Greenwich in July 2023
which was hosted by the NMM and Flamsteed Astronomy Society. There have
been a lot of exciting cometary developments since then so we should be
able to organise another good set of talks. The videos from the 2023

The contribution from the local society was absolutely critical in
making the meeting go smoothly.

Is there anyone who would like to suggest a venue and take on the local
organisation? Ideally this would be a local society. Following the
format of past meetings there would be one or two talks from the local
society and all the other talks would be arranged by the Section.

Sections are being encouraged to spend money on promoting their subject
areas so we would have a decent budget to cover this.
