Maik, That's interesting. Thanks. Peter sent me one of his images of 2007 HE4 for use in my BAA article. I attach it here. This is from 2007 April 18.875, 5x4 arcmin, N up, 0.40m f/10 SCT. Definitely extended to the east. Great to think that this is probably Denning's long-lost comet. Jonathan - Thanks too for the JBAA reference. I'll look this up. Does anyone know of any photographs/drawings of D/1894 F1? It was a pretty faint comet and the section's archives get very patchy prior to 1940. Nick.
