thank you very much! I am also very happy to have another comet struck out from the list of lost comets. And that it was
the one of W. F. Denning makes it even more special. I know that 2007 HE4 was now found to be cometary - Peter
Birthwhistle revisited his images and also the observations from the Dominion Astrosphysical Observatory in April 2007
show it to be cometary after Dave Balam checked the images again.

By the way, the piece you have attached from the Journal contains a nice detail. It refers to the comets of 1231 and
1746 as having more or less similar orbital elements. The latter one ("Kindermann's") is most likely a fabricated
object. I have attached the excerpt from the Catalog of Unconfirmed Comets vol 1 on this one.
