Thanks Nick - That morphology looks most like the outburst coma of November 1st, which was the closest in intensity to this latest one.
Still early days in the expansion but it looks a little more V-like but is directed in a similar p.a.

One thing that is changing is the intensity of the solar radiation at the comet and for this last one, the sunlight was 2.1x more intense than the first (July 20) outburst.
So the dust and ice in the outburst cloud will heat up and the ices will volatilise more quickly as it approaches perihelion. That's going to change things but with so many outbursts we are starting to amass a whole series of morphologies!

The V shape north of the photocentre is more prominent tonight:

The magnitude in a 9 arcsec radius is falling back rapidly and is now down to 13.0 having reached 11.0 at the peak of this outburst. The total magnitude of the comet is a lot brighter.
