That is interesting and I hope some others can get images to confirm.
Note that the comet is moving at 3 arcsec/min in PA 72 at the moment so
would have trailed around 6 arcsec in your 120s exposure. The extension
does appear to be almost in the direction of motion. Do you have any
shorter exposures?
My last image of this comet was on March 6th and there was no sign of
anything unusual then:
