Hi all,
Just a reminder that routine comet images should be sent to
cometobs@britastro.com using the naming format described here:
https://britastro.org/node/16839
Denis Buczynski will then put these in the section archive. Can I remind
all observers to please include scale, orientation and date/exposure
details on their images. We receive some wonderful images but, without
these details, it is often difficult to compare one image with another.
Hopefully we'll get a nice view of C/2020 F8 (SWAN) from the Europe over
the next few weeks and I expect Denis will be receiving a lot of images.
As Denis has explained please try to use the correct filename format. If
you don't, or if particular information is missing, there may be a delay
getting your image into the archive.
Please only post images to this discussion email list if they show
something unusual or if you are trying to get confirmation of a
particular feature. Routine images should go to the address above. In
addition BAA members can also post in the members' area of the website:
https://www.britastro.org/member_profiles
This email list now has an archive which you can see here:
https://archives.simplelists.com/baa-comet/
Please use an appropriate subject line when you post so that it is
possible to search this in a sensible way. Blank subjects or changing a
topic but keeping the old subject can mean that it is difficult to
untangle threads when searching for things later on.
Many thanks,
Nick.
